The use of soft candlelight. A mass of church candles light up a religious figure of importance. Candle upon candle, helps to give a soft delicate atmosphere in the harsh stone church. The light has been used to show contrast, with silhouette in the foreground and the candle glow in the background. This is quite effective and i think would look successful on a larger scale and with more contrast between light and dark. Fountains of light are transported through the stone interior, the large fountain is simple but produces quie a lot of light and most probably heat as well.
